Pithampur Audhyogik Sangathan (PAS) is the only industries association representing all large, medium and small scale units situated in the subject industrial growth centre of M.P., Pithampur, Distt., Dhar. for two decades this organization has been rendering service with dedication to its impressive and growing membership of around covering nearly 90% investment of the area.

Today, with an increasing growth in services and activities, PAS acts as a catalyst for “thought, plan and action” on all issues of concern to the member industry. Individual attention is paid to the problems of member units.

PAS vision has been to strengthen the role of concerned developing agencies and state bodies directly/indirectly involved in development of the area. Through its representation in various committees of the State and Central Govt., State and National Level industries associations, PAS continues unflinchingly to reinforce the commitments. PAS endeavours to bring about growth and development and works towards the strengthening of industries and its integration in to national economy. PAS continues to create awareness and support for efforts on quality and environment.

In order to unify concentration to all problems and needs of fellow industrialist, PAS has designed Three-Tier system of operation.

At first stage “Board of Directors” has been formed. This Board consists of members from all sect of industries i.e. Large, Medium & Small. This Board formulates policies and strategies for execution. Board is also regularly monitoring result oriented approach and achievements by execution. Mr. Kedar Bankda , Chairman & Managing Director, Syncom Formulation (India) Ltd. is the Chairman of Sangathan.

As such, second stage, executive committee is formed. This executive committee is headed by President who is responsible for overall execution as per policy framework and guidelines of Board of Directors. President is supported by Hon. Secretary -in-Chief and other members of Executive Committee. President and his executive team are regularly involved in solving all problems and development projects to be undertaken in the interest of all entrepreneurs and industrial development in general. Dr. Gautam Kothari is President and Dr. Darshan Kataria is Joint President, & Mr. Umesh Dwivedi is Hon. Secretary in Chief of Sangathan for current term 2022-2024.

At next stage, in order to analyse and tackle the problem and issues at root level, functional committees are formed. These committees headed by respective convenors deals with issues related with subject functional area so as to optimise results.

PAS regularly organise meetings with local administration for smooth operations and solutions of problems if any.

PAS is actively participating in various programmes like seminars, symposiums, exhibitions organised for industrial entrepreneurs by Govt undertakings like MSMEDI, MPSIDC, MPAKVN, MPLUN, MPFC, SIDBI and other banking institutions. Sangathan also organise focused meetings with Govt depts. for formulation of policies, budgets and for right implementation of the same.

In order to confront upon various issues relatings in Electricity Act and Board’s regulations and operations, PAS is actively participating in Madhya Pradesh Electricity Consumers Society so as to plan and implement disired course of actions and litigations, if required.

An Industrial Directory is being published every 2-3 years so as cover various relevant information’s regarding industrial policy, latest amendments rules & regulations of area, member industries etc.

Besides industrial Directory PAS brings out a weekly bulletin covering news-information’s notifications-export opportunities and other business opportunities. These bulletins are regularly circulated to all members, Govt. deptt. and other related business organisations.

This weekly bulletin has proven a worthy and effective communication media between industries, other related business enterprises and Govt. dept. as well.

PAS also organises need based seminars, symposiums, training programmes, in which they associate with appropriate organisations in private sector, NGOs and Govt undertakings.

In matters of interacts for industries at large PAS actively associates with National/State Chambers, regional associations.

To facilitate operations of all Members & Committees, PAS has developed a full-fledged secretariat with experienced and efficient manpower backed with desired communication facilities of Telephones, fax, internet connection and equipped with computers providing benefits of modern software tools and well-designed website.

PAS personnel are eager to provide Directory information’s as and when called upon. They help disseminating important information’s to all members through circulars, bulletin and other modes.

Together with regular staff, PAS makes available service of expert advisors to members through experienced professionals in the field of DIC & other ticklish issues relating to industries deptt, electricity Boards, labour, human resources development, energy audits, excise, commercial taxes etc.

Roles and Responsibilities of President

Dr. Gautam Kothari is president of Pithampur Audhyogik Sangathan since inception that is year 1988. The Sangathan elects its president bi-yearly and Dr. Kothari continues as president of Pithampur Audhyogik Sangathan. His heaving a key role in the organization and responsible to execute directions of the Board.

Achievements

Pithampur Audhyogik Sangathan has been playing important role in formation of State Industrial Policy and suggesting Govt. ideas to develop industries in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It has been to regular submit budget proposal, elimination of Inspector Raj, Introduction of Single Window in state of Madhya Pradesh.

Sangathan played an important role in promoting SPVs like Pithampur Auto Cluster Ltd., created a State of Art Tool Room, with an investment Rs. 47 crore, ITI and Business Development Centre at a cost of Rs. 17 crore, Hazarderous Waste Disposal facility in Pithampur at cost of Rs. 36 crore.

Future Plan

A part from increasing existing activities, Sangathan is proposing to enhance activities in the field of skill development, improving govt. ITIs which our at present governed by industries representative committees. Looking to the double digit growth of Industrial Area Sangathan has to play important role an development of local infrastructure, trying to evolve projects under PPP mode.

Recently Sangathan is going to form a group of industries who have surplus capacity or intending to create additional facility for defence manufacturing. We are getting immense support from ex-army officials.
